Actually many of these books can be downloaded for free from many places from the internet, such as
WORDTHEQUE @ Logos
or Project Gutenberg
However, the books you can find here offer something extra:
This project, coordinated by Dr. Adrian Otoiu, was carried out by a number of students enrolled at Universitatea de Nord, during the last three years. Here is a list of these students:
All the text files hosted here are Public Domain, which means we are not infringing any copyright law by posting them here on this website. I have preserved the indication relative to the source of every text file, which is visible on the first two pages of the ebook. Most of the ebooks here have been produced by volunteers (students, graduate students, librarians and interns) from various countries. We are grateful to them for their free unpaid work and we have acknowledged their names every time. Most of the ebooks originate from Project Gutenberg Adelaide, Australia or from Virginia e-Text.In order to get the files, click on the links below (the titles underlined and written in blue) and then choos SAVE AS..., when prompted. Choose a proper location for your download --say, the desktop-- and then hit OK to start the download.
The files are Microsoft Word documents, and have been archived (that is, compacted to minimize their dimensions) in the popular ZIP format. Normally your computer should have the WinZip program that is used to open such archived files. In case you don't have it, you may download it from here, or here, or here.
To make sure that the ebooks print correctly, you should have the Garamond fonts (that is, letter characters) installed on your computer. In order to check if you have them, open Mcrosoft Word, locate the font scroll list on the toolbar (usually it is located in the left side of the second row on top of your screen), and scroll down to see if Garamond is present there. If it is not, you may download Garamond from here (Garamond.zip). In this ZIP archive are three font files for Normal, Italic and Bold, plus a fourth file explaining you what to do in order to install the fonts.
